The South Carolina Benchmarking Project

Welcome to the South Carolina Municipal Benchmarking Project. The project provides a forum for South Carolina’s cities of varying sizes to share performance information on three service areas: police, fire and solid waste services. By benchmarking their performance and meeting with counterparts across the state, participants are able to better monitor their performance and learn more efficient and customer-friendly ways of doing business.

As a visitor to this site, you will learn about the background of the project and how it was developed, access a list of the measures used in the project, and obtain contact information for the project participants. Nineteen (19) municipalities are currently participating in the project and there is always room for more. If you are interested in learning how you can join this exciting benchmarking partnership, please contact one of the following:
